Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in July 1945 and reconfirmed on June 19, 1986.

The arms are the symbol of St. Peter , the patron saint of the town. The keys already appear on a borderstone from 1678 as well as om a local banner from the late 18th century.
