Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on August 30, 2012.

The arms represent the four hamlets that were joined to the municipality in 1823. The first quarter represents Mesnil Durecu, the garb is taken from the former lords of Durecu. The second represents Hardouville, which belonged directly to the king and thus shows the Royal fleur-de-lys. The thirs is Panneville, showing the arms of the family of Flavigny with an additional cross of the order of Saint-Lazare (for the local Commandery Saint-Antoine de Grattemont). The last quarter represents Cidetot with the former dovecot.
The inescutcheon shows the arms of Normandy.
