Origin/meaning

The arms refer in the first quarter to the importance of the railways. The second and third quarters refer to agriculture. The fourth quarter refers to the small obelisk raised in 1664 by George III, Duke of Legnica-Brzeg to commemorate the parting with his daughter, leaving to Dillenburg in Hesse (Germany) to her newly wedded husband, Henry von Nassau-Dillenburg.
