- (fr) De sinople à la barre d'argent chargée d'un TGV d'orangé et de sable mouvant de la pointe et dans le sens de la barre, accompagnée en chef d'un chevalet de mine de sable, mouvant de la barre et brochant sur une usine du même et en pointe de deux roues d'engrenage de sable, engrenées en barre et soutenues de trois anneaux accolés, 2 et 1, d'azur, de gueules et d'or; le tout enfermé dans une bordure componée de vingt-deux pièces d'argent et de gueules.
Origin/meaning
The tower, chimney and cogwheels all indicate the industrial history of the town and the steel industry. The TGV (speed train) indicates that the town has a station on the line.
The coat of arms also appears on the TGV train 87 "Montchanin city".
