MONTRÉAL (YONNE)

Département : Yonne

Blason de Montréal (Yonne)

Official blazon

D'azur à la bande ondée d'or accompagnée de deux salamandres vu même.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on June 8, 2007.

The wavy bend is taken from the arms of the Anséric family, former lords of the village, with two salamanders, the symbol of King François I, who passed the village in 1522 and 1529.
