Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a spruce green vertical rectangle embroidered device 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 5/16 inches (5.87 cm) in width overall, arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, a white vertical diamond charged with a spruce green helm detailed and fimbriated white. Attached above and below the rectangle, a green scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border inscribed “MOUNT PLEASANT” above and “HIGH SCHOOL” below in white letters.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Vert, a torch Argent, flamant and winged Or, on a chief of the second, two lozenges of the first and thereon a knight’s helm Proper garnished, plumed and mantled Green. Attached below the shield a Silver scroll turned Green and inscribed “FIGHTING KNIGHTS” in Green letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Green and white are the school colors. The green knight’s helm represents the school’s mascot, the “Green Knight”. The diamond symbolizes the school’s location in Delaware, the “Diamond State”.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Green and white (silver) are the school colors. The winged torch suggests the cadets’ curriculum of academics and athletics. The diamonds reflect the school’s location in Delaware, the “Diamond State”. The knight’s helm alludes to the school mascot, the “Green Knight” and represents the cadets’ dedication to school and community.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved on 8 December 2004.
