MOUSSY (VAL-D'OISE)

Département : Val-d'Oise

Blason de Moussy (Val-d'Oise)

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The saltire is the symbol of St. Andrew, the local patron saint. The merles are taken from the arms of the d'Aumont family, the griffin from the arms of the Barjot family, both former lords of the village. The fleur-de-lys are taken from the arms of the Île-de-france region, in which the village is situated.
