NEENSTETTEN

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Alb-Donau Kreis (until 1973 Ulm)

Wappen von Neenstetten/Arms (crest) of Neenstetten
Official blazon
German In von Schwarz und Weiß gespaltenem Schild hinten zwei schwarze schräggekreuzte Wolfsangeln.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 3, 1955.

The colours and design of the arms are based on the arms of the city of Ulm as Ulm acquired the village in 1385. The two hooks (also known as Wolfsangeln, Wolf-hooks) are based on the former symbols used by the village on border stone and similar markings. A survey of the mayor in 1949 showed seven variations thereof used in the village.
