Origin/meaning

The arms were designed and adopted in 1902.

The arms show a cross and a bordure taken from the arms of the Princes of Fürstenberg. The arms refer that the Princes have been buried in the church of the local Maria Hof Abbey since 1337. Until 1902 the village did not use any arms.
