Origin/meaning

The above arms were proposed in 1956.

The image of the arms holding a hook and coming from a cloud was taken from the 18th century seal of the village. On the seal there was also a building, which was removed in the arms. The image is taken from Revelations 21, 9-17 where the city of Jerusalem is measured by an angel. The meaning for the village is unknown. The seal was used until 1816, after which the seals showed only the state arms.
