Wappen von Niederstotzingen

Official blazon

In Grün ein silberner Trink-Stotzen mit linksgekehrter silberner Halteschleife.

Origin/meaning

Niederstotzingen received city rights in 1366 from Emperor Karl IV. The city, however, did not use any seals or arms. The oldest seal dates from 1848 and shows the state arms.

In 1931 the city received new arms, which were quartered, with in the first quarter a light pole, in the second a wheat sheaf, in the third an oak tree and in the fourth a pump. I have no image of the arms granted in 1931.

These arms were replaced in 1955 by the above arms. The beaker is derived from the arms of the Lords of Stotzingen from the 13th century.

Hupp still showed the arms of Württemberg as the arms for the village.
