OBERBAYERN

State : Bayern

Wappen von Oberbayern/Arms (crest) of Oberbayern
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms are a combination of the diamonds of the arms of Bayern, and the lion of the Pfalz.

The arms of the Kreis Oberbayern, which existed until 1945 were rather different:

Wappen von Oberbayern/Arms (crest) of Oberbayern

These arms show the arms of Bayern (diamonds) with in a point a monk for München.
