In Silber auf grünem, von einem silbernen Querbach durchzogenen Boden nebeneinander drei grüne Elsenbäume.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 10, 1972.

The arms are canting, showing a group of aspen (Elze) above (ober) a river (Bach). The composition is known from the 17th century seal of the town.
