Wappen: Geteilt; oben in Blau ein wachsender, goldbe wehrter fünfmal silbern-rot geteilter Löwe, unten fünf mal geteilt von Silber und Rot.
Origin/meaning
In medieval times until the 15th century the village was a loan of the Counts of Beichlingen (bars in the lower half) from the Counts of Thüringen (barred lion in the upper half).
