Official blazon

Pe roșu, un cal conturnat de argint, alergând între două stele cu opt raze, una de aur și cealaltă de argint, deasupra unui zid crenelat, de aur, ieșind din vârfulscutului. Scutul timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu cinci turnuri. Susținători - doi stejari naturali. Deviza pe o eșarfă albastră cu litere de aur: „LIBERTAS ET PERENNITAS” (Libertate și continuitate).

The arms between 1918-45:

Coat of arms of Orhei

During Russian imperial times the town received arms with a tree on April 2, 1826. In 1870 new arms were proposed, showing a sickle, surrounded by a black bordure with wheatears and a free canton with the arms of the Bessarabian province. These were never approved.
