OUD-TURNHOUT
Province : Antwerpen
Official blazon
In zilver drie leeuwen van keel, geklauwd en getongd van lazuur.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 13, 1981.
The arms are those of the family Van der Beken-Pasteel, as Petrus van der Beken-Pasteel managed to separate the village of Oud-Turnhout from Turnhout to become a separate municipality. He also became the first mayor of the new municipality.
