Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a black oval embroidered device 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width overall with a 5/16 inch (.79 cm) scarlet border, a golden orange roaring tiger head with scarlet eyes, tongue and nose, detailed white with black stripes, emitting from behind the tiger at top, bottom, right and left, four outward-facing white arrows. All edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border. Attached below the oval, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed “OZARK” in scarlet letters.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Sable, semé of tiger paws Argent, charged with an arrow point per pale of the like, issuant from base a rayonné Gules. Attached above the shield, a Red scroll inscribed “OZARK” in base metal letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia:Red, black and white are the school’s colors. The tiger is the school mascot and symbolizes strength. The four arrows upon the annulet represent the school’s motto, “Purpose – Direction – Motivation.” The annulet is reminiscent of the “O” in “Ozark”.

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Red, black and white are the school’s colors. The tiger, suggested by the paw prints, is the school’s mascot and symbolizes strength. The paw prints, upright arrow and fire represent the school’s motto, “Purpose – Direction – Motivation”.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved on 17 December 2004.
