Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 27, 1993.
The oldest seal of the town, dating from the 15th century already showed the angel with the cross. In the mid 20th century this image was replaced by symbols of industry and agriculture (below). In 1993 the old arms were adopted again (above right).
