Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 11, 1968.

The beech leaves are a canting element (Buche=beech) and also refer to the local beech forests. The base refers to the hill on which the village is situated. The bend refers to the Cisterican Abbey in Füstenfeldbrück, to which most of the area historically belonged.
