Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 15th March 1996.

The mount is a canting element: the name Puiggròs means literally in Catalan "big hill". The flower as a sixfoil and the three stars are a traditional sign of the arms of the town, probably an allusion to the Virgin Mary, the local patron saint.
