Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 12, 1946.

The arms show the local church, which has a typical architecture, and which construction started around 1200. The oak is the so-called Blücher-oak, which was planted to remember the capitulation of General Blücher to Napoleon on November 7, 1806. The wheatears symbolise the agriculture in the municipality.
