Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on April 14, 1994.

The arms show the reversed anchor mark used by Świętopełk II the Great, Duke of Pomerania and Gdansk, and used today as a sign of the Kashubian Movement. The wheel symbolizes many agricultural devices (such as a mill) used in the area. The silver bend refer sto the rivers in the are, such as the Zagórska Struga.
