Origin/meaning

The atom refers to the Saclay nuclear research centre. The chief with the two fleur-de-lys and silver division line, refers to the ponds established in the village by King Louis XIV.The small shield shows the arms of the Saint-Germain Abbey, to which the village historically belonged.
