Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 1, 2011.

The arms show the entrance to the harbour of Sada, an ancient port on the coast, already used for thousands of years. The towers are the Fontán and Corbeiroa towers, built in the 18th century as a protection of the harbour.
