Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 25, 1995.

The bells are representative of the three bells that are installed in St-Fabien's church. These are the only elements that where salvaged from a major fire that destroyed the first church that was erected in St-Fabien.

The dove represents St-Fabien. Fabien was a pope that got elected after having a dove land on his head during the election. Members of the assembly unanimously agreed that it was a sign given by God himself to indicate his preference.

The heart in the dove beak adds to the motto that translates in English "High in my Heart".
