Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 19, 1986.

The ancient coat of arms (from the 15th century) shows only the mountain with the golden star. The elm tree, in reference to a miracle of Sant'Amato Ronconi, who made sprout a stick of that wood, planted in the town hall square was added later. The saint, born in 1225, was also added to the current coat of arms in 1986.
