SANKT GEORGEN AM FILLMANNSBACH

State : Oberösterreich
District : Braunau am Inn

Arms of Sankt Georgen am Fillmannsbach

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 21, 1985.

The arms show the dragon, symbol of St. George, the patron saint of the town. The dragon was also part of the arms of Gottfried Wilhelm, Count of Theinstein-Tattenbach, who founded the Chapel in Eberschwang, which was later moved to St. Georgen am Fillmannsbach.
