Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 26, 1964.
The arms show the canting image of St. Michael killing the dragon. However, the saint is shown like a local 19th century peasant, instead of like the more traditional knight. This composition is based on the old seal of the parish that showed the saint as a peasant.
The windmill-blades symbolise the local windmill, a landmark in the area.
