SANT JULIÀ DE CERDANYOLA

Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona

Escudo de Sant Julià de Cerdanyola

Official blazon

Escut caironat: de sinople, una ermita de porpra acostada de 2 flors de lis d'argent. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 31st March 1994.

The hermitage is the traditional sign on the arms of the village, and probably represents the Ermita de la Mare de Déu de les Esposes. The fleurs-de-lis at both sides symbolize the martyr St. Julian, the local patron saint.
