SCHÖDER
State : Steiermark
District : Murau
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 4, 1981.
Schöder boasts a beautiful church of Our Lady, dating from the late Gothic period. Parts of the municipal lands were property of the Archbishopric of Salzburg until 1803. The arms make use of the tinctures of the arms of Salzburg (red and white) and the arms of a Salzburg official. The design follows the pattern of Gothic Maßwerk (tracery).
