The Second Tactical Air Force was on 1 January 1959 renamed Royal Air Force Germany. The badge was kept only the wording on the border was changed to ROYAL AIR FORCE GERMANY.
The Second Tactical Air Force was on 1 January 1959 renamed Royal Air Force Germany. The badge was kept only the wording on the border was changed to ROYAL AIR FORCE GERMANY. The Lion is indicative of Courage and Strength whilst the Olive Branch represents the Compassion shown to the Vanquished. The Badge was approved in January 1953.
