English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 11, 1995.

The obelisk in the first quarter symbolises the so-called Dreistromstein in Siegmundsburg. This stone symbolises the fact that the village is situated between three rivers that run in three different directions, namely to the Elbe, Rhein and Weser rivers. The point shows the spring of the Werra river (running into the Weser) in the municipality. The municipality is situated on 800 m above sea level, which is symbolised by the mountain. The horn is a symbol for the hunting in the area, which used to be of importance. The green and blue colours stand for the forests and the rivers.
