Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 12, 1957.

The arms are those of the Hinnisdael family, who acquired the Kraainem county in the 17th century, to which the village belonged. The family ruled the village until the end of the 18th century. Compare also Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe.
