I fält av silver en röd spåntäckt romansk kyrka med absid och två med kors krönta spetsiga huvar försedda med torn, det högra högst, samt med portar och fönster av silver.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1963.

The arms are based on the 13th century seal of the city, which shows the cathedral. All later seals and images have shown the cathedral, in many different styles and colours. Only in 1963 were the arms and colours finally determined.
