Origin/meaning

The division line symbolises a pallium and thus refers to the pallium of St. Elmo, Archbishop of Canterbury, who has taken refuge in this area of France.

Lily flowers also symbolize the Île-de-France region.

The tree and the grapes, as well as the ears of corn in support, refer to the agricultural character of the municipality and the drop of water refers to the Meance.
