Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The flower symbolises the many moors and heaths in the municipality, especially the Magetheide. In 1060 the Magetheide was granted to the Bishop of Verden, who established a hunting area there. For many centuries hunting was practiced there, which is symbolised by the deer antler. The green colour refers to nature and agriculture.
