STETTEN

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Konstanz (until 1973 Donaueschingen)
Incorporated into : 1975 Engen

Wappen von Stetten (Engen)/Arms (crest) of Stetten (Engen)
Official blazon
German Von blau-silbernem Wolkenfeh-Schildrand umgeben, geteilt von Schwarz und Gold, oben ein silberner Stern.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed in 1902 and adopted in 1903.

The village was a possession of the Lords of Hewen until 1639 when the whole Hewen estate was acquired by the Counts (later Princes) of Fürstenberg. The arms thus are a combination of the bordure of Fürstenberg and the star in a divided shield from the arms of the Lords of Hewen.
