Official blason

Sköld delad av guld, vari två bjälkvis ordnade, blå årderbillar, och av blått, vari en roddbåt, från vars mitt ett latinskt kors med utböjda övre armar uppskjuter mellan två från samma punkt snett uppskjutande åror, allt av guld.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 6, 1946.

The upper half refers to agriculture, the lower half is taken from the seal of the Asker hundred, known from the early 17th century,
