SVETI MARTIN NA MURI

County : Međimurje County

Arms of Sveti Martin na Muri

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on October 29, 2001.

The goose refers to St. Martin, who is in the region linked with the ceremonies of young wine, therefore the bunch of grapes. In christian iconography, St. Martin is shown either as dividing his cloak giving a half of it to a beggar, or as bishop with a staff and a goose.
