Official blazon

In Blau auf grünem Boden ein silbernes Haus mit Ecktürmchen, auf deren roten Zwiebeldächern goldene Windfahnen wehen; vor dem offenen Tor eine grüne Tanne.

Origin/meaning

According to legend the arms were granted in the 15^th century by Emperor Friedrich III, but no historical proof thereof exists. The oldest known seal dates from the 17^th century and shows the above composition of pine tree (Tanne) and castle (for Hausen, house).
