TRIEBEN

State : Steiermark
District : Liezen

Trieben.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on May 8, 1956.

Trieben lies in Upper Styria. Mining has been going on in the region since the Bronze Age, so the arms display miner's tools. Traffic, too, has always been important, as the Pyhrn pass highroad (now a motorway) passed through the market borough.
