TRIERWEILER
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Trier-Saarburg (until 1969 Trier)
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Trier-Land
German |
Unter grünem Schildhaupt, darin 4 sechsstrahlige facettierte goldene Sterne, in Silber zwei schräggekreuzte rote Petrusschlüssel mit dem Bart nach außen und oben. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 3, 2000.
The four stars represent the 4 villages in the municipality: Trierweiler, Sirzenich, Fusenich and Udelfangen. The crossed keys symbolise that the village historically belonged to the Archdiocese of Trier, of which St. Peter is the patron saint. Crossed keys are the symbol for St. Peter.
