TRIPPSTADT
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Kaiserslautern
Verbandsgemeinde : Landstuhl (until 2019 Kaiserslautern-Süd)
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on June 8, 1927.
The arms combine elements from the former rulers of the village. In medieval times the village was ruled as a condominium between the Lords von Daun and Oberstein (fence) as well as the Lords von Flersheim (bars). The lower half shows the arms of the Lords von Hacke, who acquired the village in 1716-1719. The double rainbow also appeared on the seals of the Amt Trippstadt from the early 18th century (known from 1729).
