German Gespalten in Silber und Rot über einem goldenen Hügel, darin schwebend ein achtzackiger schwarzer Stern; vorn ein goldener Wellenpfahl belegt mit einem zehnspeichigen schwarzen Mühlrad und hinten eine goldene Birke mit silbernem Stamm.

Origin/meaning

The municipality did not use arms. The arms above are village arms designed in the 1990s (?).

The pale wavy and the water wheel symbolize the Orpe river and the water mill at the "Udorfer Eisenhammer". The birch tree is a typical tree in the area, its stands further for the nature in the municipality. The star is the star of the Principality of Waldeck, to which some parts of the village belonged in former times.
