URBACH

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rems-Murr Kreis
Additions : 1970 Oberurbach, Unterurbach

Wappen von Urbach/Arms (crest) of Urbach
Official blazon
German

Unter goldenem Schildhaupt, darin eine schwarze Hirschstange, in Rot ein silberner Brackenrumpf.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 30, 1978. The municipality was created in 1970 after the merger of Unter- and Oberurbach. Historically the two used the same seal, with the letters UB. In the new arms the upper part shows the arms of Württemberg. The lower part is taken from the arms of the Lords of Urbach, a local medieval family.
