I have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms. Any information is welcome !
The arms were granted in 1548 by King Ferdinand I of Bohemia on request of Eustach von Schlieben, lord of the town at the time. The arms combine elements from the arms of Von Schleiben (checquy field) and of Von Schapelow (dog), the latter for Katherina von Schapelow, the wife of Eustach von Schleiben. The arms have not changed since.
