VILLEPINTE

Département : Seine-Saint-Denis

Blason de Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis)/Arms (crest) of Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Official blazon
French blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1967.

The point symbolises the letter V, the town's initial. The three fleur-de-lis and the nail of the Passion represent the coat of arms of the Abbey of Saint-Denis to which the territory of the commune from the twelfth century until the Revolution belonged. The plough irons and the wheat ears symbolise the longtime agricultural tradition of the area.
