Blason de Viols-en-Laval
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in June 2003.

The village was a longtime possession of the De Ratte family, Barons of Cambous. The three stars and the blue field are taken from the family arms, whereas the castle represents the Cambous castle in the municipality.

The black base refers to the 8 known sinkholes in the municipality, the darkness of the holes symbolised by the colour black.
