Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 22, 2013.

According to legend, the village Vorsha (the administrative center of Vorshinskoe rural settlement) was founded by Alexander Nevsky, when he rode with the icon of Our Lady of Vladimir near the river Vorsha and stopped there to rest. The prince founded the church in this place.

Currently in the village there is a monument to Alexander Nevsky and the chapel consecrated in honor of the prince. The Old helmet - a symbol of the Russian army is a tribute to Alexander Nevsky.

The village is located on the right bank of the river Vorsha (the blue bar) and on the highway Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod (golden bar).
