Origin/meaning

The arms were never officially granted.

The arms were already seen on the seal of the village from the 18th century. The key refers to the State and Diocese of Worms, to which the village historically belonged. The grape is a canting element (Wein=grape) and is an indication for the importance of viticulture in the area.

On the original seal, St. Bonifatius was seen as a supporter behind the shield.
